On Monday November 28th, the 8th grade UTMS Boys Basketball team defeated the Boone Grove Wolves in a double header action. The A team won 35 – 29. The B team won 44 – 26.
In the A game the offense was led by Logan Fox with 8 points, Kingston Shivers 8 points, Conner Welch 6 points, Sean Schafer 4 points, Koltin Kingery 4 points, Jax Alvarez 3 points, Keegan Catone 2 points and Erik Diaz. The defense played solidly all night and then went into lock down mode holding the Wolves to 3 made free throws in the 4th quarter.
In the B game the offense was led by Brennan Dobson with 22 points, Andrew Ball 5 points, Keegan Catone 4 points, Kingston Shivers 4 points, Sean Schafer 2 points, Erik Diaz 2 points, Jax Alvarez 2 points, Koltin Kingery 2 points and Christian Bouma 1 point.
The 7th grade lost to Boone Grove 17-26. The leading scorers were:
Cash Kostbade 6pts, Cash Micciche 6pts, JJ Knight 3pts and Dylan gore 2pts
The Bearcats next game is Thursday December 1st, at Hanover Central against the Wildcats. Game time is 5:30 pm.

Game location change: The 7th grade basketball team will be playing AT Boone Grove Middle School at 4:30 and the 8th grade team will be HOME tonight vs Boone Grove at 4:30.

On Thursday November 17th, the 8th grade UTMS Boys Basketball team defeated the Lake Ridge Warriors 47 – 43. The offense was led by Logan Fox with 20 points, Kingston Shivers 10 points, Conner Welch 6 points, Koltin Kingery 6 points, Sean Schafer 4 points and Jax Alvarez 1 point. The defense played solid despite giving 5 three pointers. Their rebounding is improving which allowed the Bearcats to win this highly competitive game. UTMS 7th grade won 25-22 against Lake Ridge the leading scorers were; Dylan Gore 8pts, Cash Micciche 7pts, Cash Kostbade 6pts, Logan Hunt 4pts ,Julian Blevins 2pts, Levi Murray 2pts. The 6th grade also opened their season last night with a strong showing and winning 24-10.
The 7 and 8th grade Bearcats next game is Tuesday November 22nd at home against the Whiting Oilers. Game time is 5:30 pm. While the 6th grade is on the road that day at Whiting at 5:30.

On Thursday November 10th, the UTMS 8th grade Boys Basketball team traveled to Hebron and defeated the Hawks 40 – 10. The offense was led by Jax Alvarez with 11 points, Kingston Shivers 10 points, Koltin Kingery 5 points, Conner Welch 4 points, Sean Schafer 3 points, Logan Fox 3 points, Andrew Ball 2 points, Brennan Dobson 2 points, Keegan Catone, Christian Bouma, Erik Diaz and Jack Gaetz. The defense dominated the entire game with their swarming and relentless ball hawking holding the Hawks to 10 points. The Bearcats next game is Thursday November 17th at home against the Lake Ridge Warriors. Game time is 5:00 pm.
