Each month, the Valpo Noon Kiwanis features student(s) from the local Key Clubs that they sponsor and this month was Wheeler High School's turn. Key Club officer Sophia Rodriquez spoke about the different service projects the club did this year such as collecting gravy packets for the 500 Turkeys Organization, raising $700 during the Miracle Minute for Riley's Children's Hospital, helping the staff at VU during and after a basketball game, hosting a coat drive and donating them to Clothes and Prayers in Valpo, and currently organizing a Color Run/Walk on May 9th to raise money for Riley Children's Hospital. She also highlighted her personal achievements and the different clubs and sports she is involved in such as being a cheerleader, a member of the tennis team, and being recently invited to be inducted to NHS. Thank you Sophia for representing all the hard work Key Club does for our school and community.

The Wheeler High School Key Club is sponsoring a fun day of color and memories with our first Color My World 3 / 5 k run/walk on Saturday, May 9th. It is a non-competitive race for all ages. Proceeds will benefit Riley's Children's Hospital and other community service projects. Register by scanning the QR codes on the flyer or go directly to the race website by clicking on the link. 46385 C is at U.S Open Robotics Nationals (Iowa). Skills kicked yesterday, and today we hit for oficial matches. The team is doing a great job so far. With over 140 teams competing, the energy is high-lets keep it going!

Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 4-6pm is Kindergarten Round-Up at JSE and UCE.

Please bring birth certificates, drivers' license, 2 proof of residency, and vaccination records as you fill out paperwork. While guardians complete the paperwork, future Bearcats will join our staff for their screening.
