Referendum Renewal 2026

Current referendum funding is expiring and residents will vote this fall on a proposal to continue, protect and maintain funding already existing for school  programs and services. Read below for all the details and FAQs. Choose from three informational meetings in September with Mrs. Barnes, UTSC Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of Finance, Allen Cochran.

What our Referendum Funds May Legally Be Used to Support Under the Ballot Question:

Maintain class sizes and individualized student support

Preserve academic, career, preschool, and extracurricular opportunities

Continue programs in STEM, fine arts, athletics, technology, and student wellness

Provide counseling, student services, and academic intervention support

Retain and recruit high-quality teachers and staff through competitive compensation

Uphold a Safe Environment with programs such as our School Resource Officers

Continue offering students high-quality opportunities typically associated with much larger districts while maintaining our small-school environment.

Without locally approved referendum funding, UTSC would face difficult financial decisions that will immediately impact staffing, student programs, class sizes, transportation, class offerings, and educational opportunities across the district.
