Dear UTSC Families,
The start of a new school year brings with it a special kind of energy with fresh school supplies, eager students and staff, sparkling buildings, and welcoming smiles. Whether your child is stepping into our doors for the first time or entering their final year, we are grateful to have you as part of the UTSC family. Our first student day, August 13th is almost here!
Behind the scenes, our dedicated custodians and grounds crews have worked hard all summer to prepare welcoming, clean, and safe spaces for our students and staff. Our principals and teachers have attended summer learning and worked in their buildings to prepare for an exciting welcome back week.
This year, we’re focused on strengthening our connections as we continue to build on the strong foundation that is BearcatNation! Our goals are centered on growth, celebration, and accomplishment. We are committed to supporting and challenging our students as they grow into confident, capable learners and leaders. We will make time to celebrate their achievements, encourage their progress, and continue to provide the strong foundation they need for lifelong success.
We know that none of this happens without the support of our families. As your superintendent, I believe in servant leadership putting people first, listening well, and working together. If you ever have questions or need support, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to partner with you!
A Few Important Notes:
Bus Riders: If your child rides the bus, a separate communication will be sent this Friday with detailed transportation information. Routes and schedules will be available then. If you have questions, please call your child’s school. Thank you for your patience as we finalize these details.
Registration & Back-to-School Communication: Please be sure your registration is complete and stay tuned for building-specific updates from your child’s school to help you and your student feel ready for the first day.
Events Underway: Our welcome back events have been shared, and fall athletic seasons and theatre performances have already begun! We encourage you to come out and support our Bearcats!
